This solar powered dynamo can cut chlorine usage by up to 80% in pools up to 32,000 gallons. The system works when solar energy strikes the top mounted solar cells causing electricity to flow to the copper electrode, releasing ions into the pool water. These copper ions are very effective at killing algae and keeping your pool clean and pure. Simply drop Solar Clear® in the pool water and it begins killing algae. It is eco-friendly, non-chemical, non-toxic and super safe. You can swim while the unit is in the pool. The unit is also protects against staining and scaling on pool and equipment surfaces. The Solar Clear copper electrode slowly dissolves over time and will need to be replaced after 2-3 seasons, depending on use and climate. This replacement anode is sold separately.
