We recommend that you change your filter every couple of weeks to make sure your pool continues looking great for years to come. Which Type of Filter Do I Need?

Please look for your pool below to determine which filter type you require for your Backyard Ocean pool.

Backyard Ocean Frame Pools
  • 12' Frame Pool: Filter Type C
  • 15' Frame Pool: Filter Type C
  • 18' Frame Pool: Filter Type C
Backyard Ocean Quick-Set Ring Pools
  • 10' Ring Pool: Filter Type D
  • 12' Ring Pool: Filter Type D
  • 16' Ring Pool: Filter Type C
  • 18' Ring Pool: Filter Type C
If you know the pump type but not your pool size, please note that Type C filters fit RP800, RP1000, and SFS1000 pumps.

Our filters are compatible with various other manufacturers' pools, too, and are excellent replacements for Intex pool filter cartridges. These Backyard Ocean Type C filters can be used instead of Intex Type A filters (which fit Intex pumps 02, 03R, 12R, 22R, 603, 604, 635, 636, 637, 637R, 638, and 638R). If you have bought a pool from another company, please check your user manual to verify the dimensions of the filter needed. (Do not use the A, B, or C letter to choose your filter - always choose using the filter dimensions or pump size.)
